Are You a Fat Christian?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV)
"What! know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

Have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately? Have you noticed that you're getting fat? I'm not suggesting that you're physically out of shape, but that you may be getting fat spiritually.

We gather together in our favorite house of worship week after week to feast upon the tasty morsels of God's Word. What do we do with them? Do we add them to our already overweight souls, or do we share them? Do we keep the gospel of Christ to ourselves or do we share the good news with others?

Jesus is not pleased with our out-of-shape souls. We are supposed to not only keep our bodies fit, but our souls as well. Do you want to please the Lord by giving out the Word of Life to a needy world? Let's go on a new diet program. Let's share the gospel with others and in the process become spiritually fit Christians.
