Sound Christianity

Acts 17:11 (NIV)
"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."

We attend church week after week and hear countless messages from our minister. What do you do with those weekly messages? Do you take your notes home and examine them with Scripture to see if what the minister said is the gospel truth, or do you sit there and allow the words to go in one ear and out the other? How do we expect to grow as Christians if the Word of God is not getting applied to our hearts? Do you realize that the devil goes to church also and does not want you to digest the Word of God, lest you become more discerning of what is truth and what is false?

Let us as believers strive to grow in the knowledge of God by being good Bereans, studying the Word of God so that we can become what He wants us to be.
